Comprehensive and practical teaching in several stages
Breathing, by its adaptive nature, cannot spontaneously incorporate long-term changes. This would be too risky in terms of adaptability. This is why in the REBO2T Method, conscious breathing is approached as a practice requiring progressive learning, like any other skill. The first cycle is that of the body and is organised around three modules of about a dozen hours each:
- The first module deals with the biomechanics of breathing: you will practice exercises to regain natural breathing and be able to lengthen it. Then you will start to get rid of two elements that block it: you will release certain stress-related tensions and find a connection between your breathing and your basic movements.
- The second module focuses on the physiology of breathing. You will become aware of the importance of the different respiratory volumes. You will discover and practice many respiratory patterns that will allow you to control the state of your autonomic nervous system and, to some extent, the state of your hormonal system.
- The third module concerns emotions. You will discover how the constraint that certain emotions exert on our body, then induces automatic responses on our part. By practicing to remove these constraints, you will improve your breathing and posture and regain a better emotional balance. You will develop a body shape that relies on your respiratory chain and no longer on tensions or emotions.
- A specific module, animated only by Yvan Cam at this stage: ‘The Tree of Why’. Over a period of three months, it allows us to completely map our ego, update our values and facilitate the understanding of our life mission. This has the effect of permanently calming the mind, clarifying our mind by removing layers of conditioning, extinguishing the identification with our character and activating in exchange what is really us.
- The importance of spiralling this education
The practices performed in each module have a triple effect. First, they allow you to achieve what the module in question seeks. Then they allow access to the work of the next module. Finally, when we go back to the previous module, they allow us to go even further on its content. For example, when you have worked on physiology (module 2) and emotions (module 3), your natural breathing will be even cleaner and you will be able to link your movements even more to your breathing (module 1). A spiral education is very interesting to cycle. Breathing is an evolutionary practice. The more you master it, the more impactful it is.
- To go further, the ‘Spirit Cycle’ is a teaching provided by Yvan CAM directly. This very practical work also includes identifying the different parts of the mind and balancing them.
